NOTE THE MAGIC OF WALDORF CAMP is going to move up to JUNE 2012 this year. CONFERENCE FEE is $275 this year for a four day event.
DATES WILL BE JUNE 25-28, Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 4 pm. The LOCATION will be 2120 NE Tillamook Street at the Grade School location (a change of location). There will be a small onsite Child Camp for children ages 3 and older. All are welcome to attend, payment MUST be received prior to the camp start date to attend.
THIS YEAR's THEME IS................PRAGMATIC Teaching USING WALDORF METHODS!!!!!
This is a nuts and bolts, fun conference for those who would like to incorporate Waldorf teaching methods into their home schooling. Practical, pragmatic, gradual and gentle shifts in teaching will be brought to attendees by a variety of instructors in the areas of Artistic Education, Practical Education, Multi Age Teaching, Lesson Planning, Resources, and Schedules.
Hands on pragmatic education will allow you to confidently teach your children through High School. We will be working on Real Lessons during the conference as well as studying practical Advice from experienced home schoolers and teachers.
How to draw, how to paint, how to write, how to use wool felt, how to create festivals, how to put on a community play, how to create beautiful main lesson books, how to write up a report with an artistic element. how to draw on a chalkboard, how to approach ANY subject and create a Waldorf lesson plan.....
This is going to be a GREAT conference!
How to Do It is the focus of this conference, in a wide ranging and exciting week of listening, doing, and sharing! Everyone who is teaching children will benefit from this thoughtful and practical conference!
Led by Marsha Johnson, Waldorf Teacher and author of the Magic of Waldorf Guides, the course will also have other great teachers and artists.
Note this is a FOUR DAY Conference this year, no Friday.
